Devon Magdic

Devon Magdic, MBA
Program Director
Humane Animal Welfare Society of Waukesha County


Devon Magdic (pronounced "Magic") is the Program Director at the Humane Animal Welfare Society (HAWS) in Waukesha, WI. In this role, she oversees the Behavior Department, Humane Education Department, and the Schallock Center for Animals, a 77-acre horse farm. Prior to her current position, Devon served as the Volunteer Coordinator for nearly three years, during which time the volunteer base grew to over 400 active volunteers each week. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends, as well as exploring new state and national parks.

Emily Sathis

Emily Sathis,
Director of Community Engagement
Foothills Animal
Rescue


Emily Sathis has been dedicated to nonprofit work since childhood, beginning as a team leader with Hands 4 Hope. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from UCSB and gained hands-on experience at the Santa Barbara Zoo. Emily later pursued a Master's in Business Administration with a focus on Nonprofit Leadership from Antioch University. Currently, she is the Director of Community Engagement at Foothills Animal Rescue in Scottsdale, AZ, where she oversees over 300 volunteers and supports animal care while planning major fundraising events.

Chris hines

Chris Hines,

Chris Hines is new to the world of volunteer management, with over twenty years of previous experience in education. Holding a B.S. in Middle Level Education for Mathematics, she has a passion for data-driven practices and continuous learning. As the current Volunteer Services Manager at the Idaho Humane Society, Chris is dedicated to bringing her community together for a shared cause and ensuring that IHS shelter animals receive the best care possible!
